So I can put them in a jar!

Ben and I decided to celebrate my birthday earlier because of my exams!

We went to The Cliff restaurant at Sentosa for my birthday dinner (:
Here's a mini food review.
Since we were early for dinner, we decided to take a walk around.
I was so excited when I saw a peacock!!


I thought there was only one but then when we walked further up....we saw this peahen and its baby strolling together, awwww!

The sight of them makes me feel like visiting the zoo again!

We both explored the area and found a short board walk beneath the restaurant...a very nice touch to nature.
Hands in hands, we strolled along it with the sunset as a backdrop.



The surreality of it all and a vast difference from the usual city we see...
Then, surreality fades when reality struck.







ITCHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NBCB! THE MOSQUITOES FED ON ME!!
So we quickly went back to the restaurant!!!
HAHAHAHA
Anyway it had a really nice ambience, al fresco and all.



The service provided, I must say, is really good!
Personalized and attentive from start to end!
The waitress would call Ben, Mr. Benjamin.
HAHAHAHAH.
Sounds funny to us.
Fine dining's all foreign to me so I felt quite awkward.
(And so, pardon me if I sound like a mountain tortoise in this post!!!)
ZZZ.
And without any menu on the table, the waiter asked "What would you like to drink?"
HUH?!
WHAT WOULD I LIKE TO DRINK?!
I want to drink water??
But if  I say water would I sound dumb?
I want to drink drinks....but where's your drink menu??
And so I went....ERMMMMMMMM.
He then carried on with "Still water or sparkling water?"
HAHAHAHA.
ZZZZZ.

Then he left us alone and awhile later, he suddenly appeared beside me with a basket of weird looking stuff.
I realised the weird looking stuff were an assortment of bread.
HAHAHAHA.
He asked which bread I wanted and I was thinking, "WHY IS THAT BREAD RED????"
But I din't want to look noob so I just chose the normal looking bread and when he asked if I wanted another one, I hesitated.
I din't want to look fat, so I took only one.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
In actual fact, I WANTED ALL!!
Okay, once again sorry if I'm so awkward and noob.
They were very very polite and nice, I felt like a retard.
Why can't they ask Ben first?!
Ben knows stuff!
I want them to ask Ben stuff first!!
HAHAHAHA
No need for ladies' first!





Okay, so after those bread stuff, drinks stuff, they finally gave us the food menu.
HEH.
We ordered and in between, they visited us with more bread!
YUM YUM!



Tuna with wakame. And a very delicious and crispy side (which sadly, we din't know what it is cause we couldn't understand what the waiter was saying.)


Pan-seared foie gras.
Which was extremely good and a very well-done dish! The outer was crispy and the inside was soft. Tastes like heaven! And we couldnt' stop going on about it even after we finished!



Rabbit. 
Despite it's weird look, it's not bad actually. But nothing compared to the foie gras. Rabbit actually tastes like chicken, a smoother version. There's rice inside and the cream on top tastes like those on top of the mushroom soup.



Lamb chop medium rare.
Which isn't very fantastic. Quite a disappointment actually. Tastes like beef.



Quail,
which Ben tried, and it's also a dish that you must-try! The escargot is covered with bread crumbs or some sort which is very pleasant to eat! Yum yum! 



The Cliff Lemon Tart.
I must say, it's more than what it seems. The lemon tart tastes very lemony but it's not very sour. The caramelized top gives it extra texture. Yuzu sorbet in the middle which sadly melted very quickly. Also a must try!



A complimentary cake for me! (: Thank you! 



And flowers from the very lovely boy (: A dozen of them. I love them, so pretty. A pity I couldn't eat it.


We both enjoyed our dinner very very much and very pleased with the service! Food's so damn good!! We were so full after that we decided to just go home and rest instead of our planned walk by the beach.
HAHAHAHA
A little pricey though, but I had fun with my baby boy.

How cute of him, he knows I don't like people wasting money on flowers so he tested my reaction on the way there.
He asked "What if I bought flowers for you?"
"A waste of money! I'd rather spend the money on food or clothes!" I replied.
He then asked, "but what if I already bought and gave it to you? How? You don't like flowers?"
"I like them, I'd be happy to receive them but I rather spend the money on elsewhere. HAHAHA"
I was wondering why he was asking so many questions.
And he said that he'll give me one later but I thought he was joking.
HAHAHAHA

Anyway, a couple was sitting behind us.
And apparently, the lady seemed so unwilling to hold the guy's hand at first.
The guy kept trying to hold her hand or kiss her but she'll just let go very quickly.
But after they exchanged presents, and she saw that the guy gave her a necklace, she appeared very surprised and touched.
She then held his hands.
Omg, maybe I shouldn't be judging but that's very materialistic!
Anyway, I then jokingly asked Ben where are my flowers, and demanded for it.
HAHAHAAHHA
And, I got my flowers.
First time receiving flowers :$
I shy, heh.
I feel like eating them though, looks so good.
A pity they'll wither ):

Anyway to end of the long post, I'm going to give a short message to my boy...

for the wonderful times we have and will continue to have together. Last year, we had a sad Valentine's cos you just entered army and was in confinement. Last year, I cried because I thought it was unfair. Unfair that it was our first Valentine's and we din't get to spend it together. You cried. Mostly, it wasn't the thought of not spending Valentine's together but the fact that we had to separate when most couples get together. This year, we get to spend it together and celebrate it (: I'm more than happy, I'm honestly thankful. I love you and there's never a moment that I not love you. You give me strength when I was weak~~~ HAHAHAHA. okay kidding. I'm not going to start singing lahzxz. Don't worry (; Let's sleep on our clouds again together real soon!!! And I'll come up with nice songs to sing to you!! HAHAHAHA.

It was an awkward experience to be out with him (since I haven't been on good terms with him fore YEARS) and the woman alone....

Wishlist (BHB)

CNY is just over and I bet many others are dreading the reality that follows right after the loooonnnng weekend (which, btw, flew by.)

Sigh.

Mock exams are in exactly a month's time );

And obviously such a lazy ass like me, hasn't started studying.

I asked my friends if they studied already but they said they haven't as well.

I wouldn't seek solace in that since they acquire such abilities to chiong well and get damn good results for exams ); 

Sadly, I have no such abilities.

And by abilities, I mean hardwork actually.

Sigh, I should be more focused.

I'm kind of stressed out by my 21st birthday party planning actually.

Ben wanted to book a yatch (which I very strongly am against because I wouldn't want him/me to spend so much money!!!) 

Then, we thought of booking a hotel room but then again, I'm scared we make so much noise or something that people come to shoo us!

We then turned to our last resort, which is to book a chalet but then it was fully booked.

Sigh, we're so picky and stuff.

Maybe in the end, I'll just seek the easy way out which is to abandon all ideas and just have a nice dinner.

Not that it's bad since I never really celebrated my birthday for yearsssssssss.

It's just disappointing, the thought of it. 

But I'm pretty sure things will turn out fine since what I really want is just (presents!!) to spend time with my family (presents!), ben (presents!!) and my close friends (presents!!!!!).

(And presents!!!!!)

Oh and regarding presents, to make it easier for anyone if they want to give me a present....regardless if I hold a party or not....

Don't worry because it's okay, you don't have to give me one.
