He is 'broke' and when he says "I'll return you another time" the friend says "It's okay, nevermind!" then they just jump at the 'treat'.

He din't even bother offer to pay!
Like even girls wouldn't be jumping on 'treats' all the time.
At least not me!
Like Ben wouldn't let me pay for meals most of the times but I pay in other forms like cab fares or other stuff.
Sometimes, I just stuff money into his wallet and run away before he can give it back to me.
anyway back to topic, but as guys...omg!
If they're broke, at least have some backbone.
Don't they feel bad? Or hurt their "man pride" since they hang it by their mouth all the time.
And considering that if you're broke all the time, don't take it for granted!

Even I am broke but I still bother to pay because I've got real pride and a sense of shame!
At least bother insisting that you'll pay them and actually do pay them.
