Alright, I'll admit I've been reading romance novels these days.
HAHAHAHA
Okay, complete opposites from the genre of books that I've been reading in the past.
Thriller and mystery books used to be my favourite!!!
I would go to the library and borrow like ALL Dean Koontz's books.
HAHAHA
And occasionally, I stray to read other authors...but after awhile, thriller novels get a bit mundane.
It's too saddening to read, because it's a thriller so bad stuff always happen throughout the book.
There's the bad omen, adrenaline rushing accidents, surprise accidents, homicide, threats, so much negativity.
Only when it's nearing the end, will the story be lighter and happier.
Plus the endings are usually twisted.
For once, I feel like I need to read happy stuff, fluffy, fluttery, flowery stuff.
The moment I pick up a book, I need to be sure that the ending is a good ending, with no twisted plots or whatever.
And romance novels do exactly just that.
Love, o love type of scenarios.
Most of them have happy endings anyway!
Plus it gives me space to fantasise about my ideal guy even though I no longer chase Kpop idols like a dog now.
Why watching/reading romantic shows/novels are harmful for relationships.
1. They paint such perfect images of the guys.
Or at least those that I read in the novel. Extremely, horribly, filthily rich...young man with looks that kill.
Looks that kill would be an understatement for the year, even.
His well-built body which hints that he might hit the gym almost daily, with his tall physique accompanied by charm, confidence and class, he exuberates such unique aura that encompasses everyone he meets.
Even when he has not speak, he is a living picture who speaks a thousand words.
Dressed in well-tailored suits daily, or when he dresses down in jeans and with a simple white tee, he would look so gorgeous and hot as if he just walked right out of a Vogue magazine.
So charming, yet a subtle hint of of danger.
Women who sees him would blush profusely, try their ways to seduce him with gestures so innocent, even though he knows that he is way out of their league.
Still, unfazed by the attention he receives from every raging female hormones he encounters, he politely smiles to greet them.
Aware of the effects he has on them, yet oblivious to the amount of damage he causes to the people around him.
He lives in a to-die-for house, with view that overlooks the entire city...or maybe the sea, or greenery....
Or maybe he has a house that overlooks all 3 views.
And he has more than one house, his beautiful houses are littered all over the country and in different parts of the world.
He brings holiday house to a whole new meaning.
2. Of all the pretty hot, sexy, big boobs ladies.....
who might knowingly or unknowingly throw themselves at him, he rejects them all without actually speaking.
He just goes straight for the simplest girl, dressed in simple tee and jeans.
She might not be much compared to the others, but he sees her as she is, beautiful with her natural skin.
She doesn't don on much make up, but she is confident of who she is.
Confidence is beauty.
He loves that about her.
3. He would go to all lengths....
Just to make sure she's safe, or that he's with her....etc.
Possessiveness.
What a word to dread in real life, but in stories no matter how possessive he is portrayed to be even for the trivial stuff, it is forever justified and very well-accepted by the girl.
She may feel suffocated sometimes, but she adores that about him.
Everyone LOVES that about him.
Hell, even I fall in love with the possessive trait.
You can't blame me! It goes almost hand in hand with manliness and the amount of love he has for me.
Romantic
Money isn't a problem in these novels because remember, he is filthy rich. So filthy I wouldn't mind getting both my hands on the dirt (; Out of the blue, he would surprise the girl with his private jet and take her to a dreamy country of her choice where they have a dreamy holiday together. Hell, I would ride his private jet (; Want to enjoy the sunset so close to the horizon? Okay. He'll have his chauffeur ferry them to his private boatdeck to sail of in his yatch.
Oh my....
And if anything ever happens to her, he would immediately abandon his work to be by her side.
Even if it means endangering the deal....but then again, money is not a problem.
They could fill the bathtub with money and soak in it.
So yeah...not exactly the best thing to do....fantasise about someone so surreal and dreamy.
But then it's good because it makes me giggly and fluffy.
I mean which girl wouldn't want a guy like that?!?!?!
CRAZY!
No harm fantasising right???
But then again, back to reality....I already have someone who's my ideal type.
Reality-ideal type (;
The best I could ever get!
So I'm happy even without my dreamy-ideal type.
But it just means that I'm cheating on him because I now have 2 men I think about.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
